WHATS WITH ALL THE WINGING THREADS OF LATE

is it the weather or what...

lately all I see is threads about having a dig at others...

take a look through the recent topics and it is clear this joint is turning into other forums where all people want to do is have a go at others who are not like them or think like them. which then leads to little online cliques.

who cares what you drive ..what you tow ..what wheels and tyres you want ..if you have a RTT on during the week ..or if you like a 4wd with low profile tyres.

If people spent less time pointing the finger at others and their choices and more time accepting others choices this place wont start resemble some other on-line forums full of whiners and nay sayers with a keyboard.

Note- this is not aimed at anyone just a general observation of late..

lets try to keep what made this forum so good in tact.

Being serious for one sec I think it is a couple of things.

Firstly winter and being cooped up inside to a certain degree and secondly the political scene is possibly the most negative I think I have ever seen and whether you are paying attention to it or not it is pretty pervasive.  Everything is doom and gloom and only the most right wing loony could not even subconsciously feel uncomfortable with what is going on in the Indian Ocean at present.

And the silly thing is the opposite for the country is true.  We are blessed but are made to feel like we are cursed.

Anyways, my thoughts.

Plus, I haven't posted a dazza nipple shot of late....my bad!

Oh, and I am cooking sponge cakes today.  Who can be sad when ya cookin sponge cakes!

Yes, we do have a "daily rant" thread along with a "jokes" and "funny pictures" thread which are all for light hearted humour and points of view with stories and jokes that we would tell around the campfires. Unfortunately we have had members coming onto these threads and complaining of the content and this has caused posts to be removed.
Simple answer is not to open threads that you think may offend you, after all any posts i have viewed could only be classed as risque at worst compared with what is on our TV sets every day. Lighten up and chill out folks as stressing out is not worth the effort. :cheers:

Hey Jet, some merit to your thread. But it happens across many other forums, as I'm sure we have all experienced.
There's no answer to it, apart from an individual reflection now and again on what we type, and think if we would really say that in a room full of other people we don't really know, or know some well but not others. 
The written word can so easily offend, as it's difficult to convey context, and comments about certain groups or individuals usually leads to a sh1tfight at some stage!

I joined up here as the spirit of the forum of helping others and offering good advice seemed genuine, and I reckon it is. As I get older I find more to complain about, but Dazzler is spot on that we are lucky in many ways. I need to keep reminding myself of that!

If you don't like a particular thread then simply DONT READ IT.

It might not be your cup of tea, but why are you allowed to dictate which topics are relevant and what is rubbish.

Your opinion vs someone else's .

Jakster1 that's they great thing about this forum people do have opinions and mostly are very relative to the topics. Jet as a long term forum member was just putting his thoughts out there as the forum is becoming larger which is great but with that it can change the "feel" of it

Back when I was playing cricket (badly) there was a fine system that you had to pay $1 per dropped catch. In 1 season the club made enough money off me to fund the club for life! Maybe myswag needs a similar system?
