Just read this in the news.  Some people...

Hopefully all the Swaggers can keep an eye out for this rig.  I don't know the guy but I hope he gets his car back.

He's on a bucket-list trip as he makes the most of life with a terminal illness.

His beloved 80 is probably stripped down already by the mongrels that stole it but if for some reason I see it passing through the Pilbara I'll be sure to do the right thing.

Apparently the 4WD community has come together to get him going again, with a new (2nd hand) 80 series and plenty of mods. Best news I've heard all week

That's great news.  Hopefully the car was insured and the insurer has come to the party too.  Will be good to see this guy back on the road.

Maybe someone in each state could make contact with him and invite him to a get together.. **** if there isn't one planned, it will take 0 posts to make a gathering happen round here.

I'd be happy to help him out, I reckon mate of mines workshop would be willing to give his car the once over while in town too.. Kent's a 4wder himself on his way back from Simpson at moment.

BREAKING NEWS: Steve Hughes' 80 Series has been found by police, torched by the oxygen thieves who took it. It's missing some accessories, as well as Steve's multiple camera bodies and lenses. Please, if you hear of ANY abnormally-cheap 80 Series parts or camera gear for sale in Adelaide, report it straight to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. We'll bring you more news as it comes to hand, and update you on our massive project to get Steve and Lynne back on the road with a new Cruiser.

Most common place for stolem camera gear is pawn shops and Cash Converters, if there were any photo's or serial numbers of the stolen items then.... if any local Adelaide Swaggers could visit their local pawn shop/CC and scope them out.
I know that CC usually has surveilance on everyone that walks in and out for the place
