TJM Side Steps and Rails, any good?
« on: June 24, 2014, 01:25:26 PM »
Pretty good deal with these at the moment until the end of the month, For myself a set would be just over $600.00 for the steps and side bars and I'd be interested to hear from those that have or had them for their thoughts both positive and negative.

Not a bad price, I presume that they are not fitted for $600.

you'd be correct. I have the OEM Nissan Bar so a bit of work getting the font clamp to line up properly. They have a clamp off a Hilux and it's bloody close so may purchase that off them to save a bit of work.

For an extra $100 TJM have an adjustable side bar clamp, it could be used to fit TJM side bars to ARB, Genuine OE bars etc. 780angle97x is the part number from memory, could make life a little easier for you.

I had a look at that setup and although it would work I'm not a fan of it's design, Cheers

Well bit the bullet and ordered a set. about 2 hour slater i get a call saying the side bars may may not be long enough to reach the hoops on the bullbar. When asked why they would be shorter they had no answer. the order is on standby until they get me a decent answer as to wether or not they will fit. talk about a stuff around by our local TJM branch

I could be wrong as it has been about 4 years since I left TJM but I would be surprised (as in eat my left ___) if they would not fit with the genuine Nissan (ARB produced) bar, this was a high volume line for the TJM Dealers selling to local Nissan dealers.

If you don't have any luck PM me and I will see what I can find out for you.  Still have many contacts at HO.  Cheers Dan
