Bridge at Big River "chainsawed"
« on: June 16, 2014, 02:43:42 PM »
Mate just sent this to me, from stalker book...

Anyone heard anything about it?

Quote
" For anyone who goes bush with their 4WD's up at Big River, DON'T cross any bridges made of wood until you check them first. Some mates were hunting up there and the lead 4WD started to cross a bridge when it suddenly collapsed dropping the 4WD into the creek below. Some **** had chainsawed the two main support beams 3/4 through. Driver is ok but his Patrol is ****ed. "

Anyone heard about this. This sort of action is completely out of hand. I hope whoever did this is caught and charged to the full extent of the law.

No, it reeks of someone  local completely pissed of with those who deer hunt unethically, ie, at night, or in close proximity to or on private land.

Either way it reeks of stupidity . The next vehicle to try to cross might be a young family taking the kids out for the day. Who ever it was I hope they get charged with setting a man trap , because that's what it is.  :police:

It's legal to hunt deer spotlighting. Not that I do it but Sambar can be shot spotlighting.

Last kill just hanging:-)

The Order will be in place for a period of 10 years. This means that landowners will not be required to apply for and wait to receive an ATCW in order to destroy problem deer. Importantly, problem deer may be destroyed at night under spotlight which is one of the most efficient and effective ways to control deer.

Only for problem dear on private land.

Don't get me wrong, a low act.

Big River has been a problem area for years, some small holdings up there that aren't fenced, look just like the surrounding forest.

Oh yeah, nice carcasses, yep, i stalk as well.
