Well We have all the crap moved, although it cost me twice as much. We had two truck loads that had to be carted 1200 k all up.

Saturday was a long day, was up at 4 am and the removalist arrived at 7 am, helped the them load the truck, drove to Kalannie and unloaded. Drove back to Perth, loaded the truck again and they went home and I drove back to Kalannie and finally arived at 3 am. I did manage to get 4 hours sleep.

9 am on Sunday they turned up and we unloaded the rest, We then drove back to Perth to start cleaning the old house.

I will just be glad when it's all over and done with, so I can get stuck into setting up my new shed :)

Recently, with only a 6x4 caged trailer...moved son's future FIL out've his place - separation, into son and GF's unit.
3wks later, FIL son gets a house to rent and our son and GF are moving in with him. So again with the trailer, moved their stuff out've a 2 story unit to new place, including FIL's stuff.
FIL had BS'ed to the real estate (complex story  ::)  ), and with only 2 loads left to go, son finds out him and GF aren't allowed to move into the new place. Move ONLY their stuff back!
Just about finished, and son's GF tells me her father says it's all sorted, and they can move into the new place after all  ???
That was the end of my teether...lucky I didn't get a ticket on the way to the real estate  :police:
After 'discussing' the situation with the real estate, kids could remain in the unit, it'll be in their name - giving them a start with their own rental history/references, I have little to do with son's future FIL having finally proving himself to be the wanker I always suspected him to be - but kept quiet about, and no more moving house for anyone for quite a while now   ;)

Congratulations GraemeL...wishing you many years of happy humble abode ownership   :cup:

get onto your local facebook buy sell group and sell stuff that you think might be anygood.

its surprising what ppl will buy..

which part of the country are you moving to.

Make sure you pack and sort your trailer well when you go to the tip, take a load of steel in one load, greens, house hold etc..
keep it all separate to keep your costs down.

You have a lot more patience than me, I would have exploded and left them to it.

Sounds like my daughters FIL, he is a bludger and sponges off them. I have told my daughter to give him his marching orders, but she won't because it will cause a rift between her and hubby.

I told her to give hubby a ultimatum, either the FIL goes or she does. The wanker has been living with them for 5 yrs now and I have no time for the twit and have told him numerous times to grow a set and get his own place. Mind you, I don;t have much time for the hubby either and was really disappointed when they married.

We are moving to Kalannie, which is 3 hrs NE of Perth.

I only have one load left to go to the tip this morning. We have been driving back and forth from Kalannie to Perth, trying to get both houses sorted.

We will be going back to Kalannie today and will stay there over the weekend, hopefully we can get a bit more done there and then on Monday we will be back in Perth.

We still have some Shit to do at the old house before we hand it back to the landlord, windows have to be cleaned, bathroom has to be painted, a few walls have small chips that need touching up, the carpets have to all be shampooed, I have to strip, seal and polish the kitchen and dinning room floors, mow the lawns and do the edges and wash a few walls.

Hopefully it will all be done by the end of next week and then we can get around to sorting out the new place.

For my shed, I am putting that cladding on the walls so all hooks etc just clip into it, i think it's called Easy Rack. The only problem is, it will cost me quite a bit for the hooks and tool holders etc.
I managed to buy 3 magnetic tool holders for it yesterday, that's something the wife didn't notice. I have a little ammunition though, she has ordered a Shitload of Tupper Ware, a new Wok and Kettle, so I will use that as an excuse to buy the rest of my stuff :)

for hanging tools, you can use screws and nails.

make your own tool bench and storage back bench.

havnt found anything as strong and stable as a home made bench.
and you can customize it.

I made a really good work bench for my brother when I was up north, out of scraps he had lying around.
it even had a little wash and dry basin, for washing his parts. (His car parts)

A big shelf under neath so he didnt use the bench to chuck stuff on and clog it up. the shelf was made from an old caravan roof top vent thing that was light sheet steel.

back home I made a big 4ft x 8ft bench for  myself. SO big n heavy I have to use the gantry to move it around.. Yes I should put wheels on it, but I like it being stable and its no big deal brings the gantry over lifting it and moving it around.
Its so big I have made my 2 offroad trailers on it. Beats bending over to do the welding.

I just bought two benches and a Shit load of easy rack cladding. I have enough cladding to do the all the shed walls, top to bottom :)
I got it at a very good price, it was an order that fell through and he wanted to get rid of it, so i got it at cost.

I still haven't had a chance to sort the shed out, I have crap everywhere. Still trying to get the house sorted and will be returning to Perth in the morning to finish cleaning the old place.

We have found a few power points not working and will need an electrician to come out and fix them. The settlement agent withheld $5,000 so the old owner will be footing the bill.

After moving my sister around nsw and interstate twice and back I have come to realise that when I move, or downsize after all the kids move out, it will be with a 20 foot container and two skip bins. If it doesn't fit in the container it goes in the bins!
