MEL Camping/4x4 Shows
« on: June 09, 2014, 08:54:09 AM »
Can somebody in the know help me understand the politics behind these 2 shows?

Is this because EMG had a hissy fit last year and decided to create their own show?

I'm still waiting for an answer to the OP's question. Will the same stall holders be at both shows or is one based on travel and the other on 4x4? ???

From what I can tell, this is what's going on...

EMG (4WD Action, Roo Systems etc) were unwelcomed at last year's 4x4 Outdoors, Fishing show and all the politics behind their approach to cheap stuff flooding the market and threatening the likes of ARB etc had them fuming.
So I think it was the 4WDTV folk who pushed for the Explore Aus Expo to be formed... I'm only assuming this by the exhibitors list.

Explore Aus: ARB, Kaymar, Brown Davis... all the associated brands were there, but some of these guys are absent from the 4x4 Show... no ARB I believe?

I personally don't give a fat rat's about the politics behind it all... if there's a reason to go shopping for cool stuff (hopefully pick up a bargain), I'm in!!!!!
