Yes and Peter sterling was born and lived in Toowoomba for many a year and Ken Nagas was born and bred in Townsville so stories from both sides there. You guys dug your own whole with your carrying on after try celebrations in 03. Took the spotlight of what a great team you had then and only led to Qlders getting an even bigger chip on our shoulders and to the situation we have now. But I agree, it's inevitable that you'll win sooner or later

Qlders shouldn't get too cocky as I reckon it's only going to be a bees dick again this year and I think NSW have a great formula now as well as motivation

I still remember after Qld lost a few games the NSW press saying Qld are just not good enough and the State of Origin concept should be stopped.   :'(
And hopefully this year it will be a good and clean game and the refs don’t make game changing incorrect rulings.   Kevin

Sadly though Qld is like Australian cricket side a few years back. They're not blooding young players and have an aging team. When a few retirements happen we will be found lacking & face a few years in footy wilderness. Oh well it has been a good run

The question needs to be asked why do these players from south of the tweed pledge themselves to QLD and not NSW? you cant blame the selectors if a great player wants to play for your state your are going to pick them Im sure NSW would do the same.

So why is it that they want to pull the maroon jersey on? is it for the same reason that all the trees in QLD lean towards the south?  (because NSW sucks) LOL

GO QLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cup:
