Brain Dead

Spent time camping at Wyperfeld National Park over Easter  and you guessed it, campers leaving a size 9 camp fire burning when they packed up and left camp, topped off by another camper pulling out a Chainsaw and cutting firewood in front of a Ranger who quickly put a stop to it. Had the camper read the sign when entering Chainsaws are banned ?. The park has been closed due to fires.

You can't educate idiots, but it's people like that who are playing into the hands of the greenies, and National Parks management who want to lock up more and more of this country, idiots just make their argument easier to win the government over.

All it takes is a small minority to ruin it for the rest of us.

It poses the question would you say something to another group that you know are doing the wrong thing?

As long as it didn't put swmbo or my family at risk, these days I do.  Strike rate is 50/50 as to whether I get told to F*** Off or yeah, didn't know that, thanks for the tip.

Reality is that I can get away these days with being a grumpy old wise owl bugger, so yes I say something.

I was coming home thru Wyperfield a couple of years ago and was carrying my chainsaw in the car, seeing as it is a NP I rang the ranger and ask if it was OK to carry the saw. He said no problem just don't have it in plain site and it was against the law to use it, I said OK I had no intention to use it in the NP, he then went on to say that one of the problems they have is campers dragging bloody long logs onto the fire and that creates a fire issue and he would prefer them cut to fit in the fire pits , just his opinion I suppose
