It's on our list of campgrounds to visit, but haven't been there yet.

Queensland Weekender (a local channel 7 production) did a special on it last night, but unfortunately I only saw the last ten minutes and I can't find it on catch up either.

Sorry I can't be of more assistance

Mate, are you sure that wasn't Gordon Country as the good wife watched that show yesterday although she missed the very 1st bit. We're heading to G. Country on the 9th next for a few days with the woofit & chain saw as I reckon it might be a bit Brass Monkey up there.

Cooling down up here but not brass monkey weather just yet.  Give it another month or two.

But make sure you bring a jumper and extra blanket next week.

Steffo I'd probably throw in an extra 10 ltrs of fuel for the chainsaw. We spent Easter at Goomburra Valley Campground and it is starting to get a bit cool at night. Beside which there's nothing better than cooking on a campfire when the weather is cooler.

We got down to 5 deg over at Best Brook on the other side of the ridge so would be pretty similar. Last couple of nights at Stanthorpe were considered quite warm after that!

It is on the opposite side of the creek from Yaramalong. I havn't stayed there, but have seen it from the Yaramolong side. Looks OK, but I havn't been there to comment on price or facilities.

The entrance is off Charlwood Rd (which links Lake Moogerah Rd with the Cunningham Hwy at Aratula). As it is located below the dam wall of Moogerah Dam, the creek only runs occasionally. If it's been a while since rain, then the creek is not that attractive, but when it has good water, take an inflatable anything, paddle up stream and there is a nice big swimming hole.

Thanks Spada. The "Creek below the dam" setup did cross my mind with regard to the amount of water flowing. One would assume there'd be Bass in the creek after a dam water release?
