Don't waster your money, buy the $99 special from Masters that was posted the other day.

I got one,, my old one carked it and needed a cheapie to replace it, not done much work as yet, but does have a bit of grunt, they do leak oil from the chain lube tank, pain in the butt..lol
but easy to start, not to heavy and works well,
will it last ? I doubt it if your going to give it a flogging,  but for the home handyman I'd say go for it.

Mark GU has a fix for this.
Mine owes me nothing now, cut a couple of trees, backyard blitz kinda a thing, a few  in return and it still works.
Gotta be happy with that.

I have got one of these brought 5 years ago so it is a different model to this particular unit, I got it on ebay via bidding for $100.

It did what I needed it to do (remove a big jacaranda tree in back yard to make way for pool) and more. However the start mechanism is plastic, it came with two of them and once the second one broke I could not get a replacement so it can no longer be started.

I have one of the bigger brothers of this one and for what I paid I am not unhappy.  I use Still saws with the RFS and they are the dogs danglies, but for the money they should be.

I have had a few minor issues with my one (all easily fixed) and yes it does seem to leak oil but it cuts well and unlike the big Still saws it starts unbelievably easy, usually on the second pull.  If you are not going to be using it heavily, and want a saw to abuse they are well worth the money, although as pointed out elsewhere you can now buy cheap saws elsewhere.....

We purchased one of those cheapies off ebay, it went okay but if we had bought properly the first time then we would have had an extra $120 in our pockets.

We bought it primarily because it was only going to be used lightly, cut up fire wood while camping, a small backyard tree or two (nothing over 15cm thick) ect At first it cut okay, always cleaned it up and maintained it before and after use, the chain didnt sharpen up very well and after a year of light use it started leaking oil. We were looking at getting a new chain and at over $50 for a new one coupled with the excessive oil leakage decided it wasnt worth it.

We ended up buying a stihl chainsaw that was on special, havent looked back. We have since cut down 9 trees in the yard, plenty of firewood, some of it as hard and concrete and it works a treat, chain sharpens up nicely.

Compare our camping trip last weekend where the guy who had the ebay saw needed us to cut his wood for him because his couldnt cope with the aged wood on the tracks and using the same tool (we forgot ours so used his) couldnt sharpen up his chain, while it sharpened ours okay.

Used the saw over Easter and i have to say I was very impressed cut up logs up to around 10" diameter with no problems at all chain stayed sharp for the whole weekend and the timber was really good dry hardwood.
Happy so far..
