if you read the link you'll see he also got another 3 1/2 years on top of that murder charge for indecently dealing with a child, and another 2 years for interfering with a corpse...to be served concurrently after his murder time is done.
either way, here's hoping the grub never gets released ever. he should of been locked away forever after his previous dealings with kids (and i only say that as i won't say what i really think should happen to him)

But he serves the murder sentence first, and then he serves the other two sentences and they are concurrent.

Yep, they should have been accumulative.  Concurrent basically means he got nothing for the other offences as they are completed while he is doing his so called life sentence. (I don't know why they still call it a Life Sentence?)  The Judge could have made them accumulative, but not many do these days with multiple offences.   Kevin

I really can't remember a cumulative sentence handed down for a long time. Where they have minimum sentences they should be cumulative.

Just watched 60 Minutes about the Morcom Case.
To any potential or present Judges or Magistrates on Face Book............we the people are sick & tired of the softly softly approach to these animals that abuse children. If that scum had have served life for the 1st child abuse case against him then the other kids including Daniel would still be alive and well today. Once you have committed such and offense then sorry you wave ALL RIGHTS as a human being and need to be treated accordingly.
It will im sure come a time when the people will act with or without the Law and deal with these maggots!!!We really don't care if they missed out on breakfast or any other poor excuse they use as a child, they know what they are doing to these kids.
Put them away for life or pay for their funerals if parents get to them 1st!!

Time is now to put a stop to it.


sorry for the rant but as a dad who's 6 y/o daughter was seconds away from being abducted this story was very close to home. again my apology to My Swaggers.

The Morcombe family have my complete and unreserved respect for the strength they have shown. I, on the other hand, would of done everything in my power to see Cowan set free... It would be far easier to get your hands on him on the street than behind bars (allegedly ;))

no need for an apology in my books, i've been saying to the misses ever since Cowan's back ground came to light after the conviction...how the hell was this guy ever allowed out on the street? it beggars belief  >:( >:(

Our prison system is too good for this grub. He deserves much much worse.

It makes my bloody boil these rock spiders ever see the light of day again. He will be out again in his 60s ...... That sends a shiver down my spine.

I actually think the media needs to let this go quite.  His legal team, which we would be paying for, have said they will be putting an appeal in, so it is far from over.  They must be loving all of the media attention because if they get to have a retrial they will argue that he would not get a fair trial. The media should have waited until after the appeal period at least.  Kevin
