Fishing
« on: March 10, 2014, 04:02:16 PM »
Just wondering who will be attempting to catch fish this year?

I'm not sure I will bring much gear this year. I've been catching more crabs than I can eat for last 3 months and last week I picked up a 80 cm barra. Picked up is right wording, she was floating upside down still alive, I just gaffed her. She had a hook and mullet in her gut. I'll post photos when I can get the kids to help me.

Looking forward to fishing the Cotterall River  ;D

There will be some monsters up there may even bring some shark catching gear and use someones winch to bing it in.

The wharf at Seisa is usually a good spot, just watch out for the 3m croc that patrols the area.

Also caught some nice fish off the rocks at Vrylia point [south end] and the river [north end] looked great but didn't have a cast.
