Nothing open in Cobar until Tuesday to see if anyone has parts, but have landed on our feet with 16,000 acres of private property to camp on, fresh shot and butchered goat for dinner and country hospitality. Almost wishing No one has parts and we have to come back out with parts to pick the camper back up

Just had a few swaggers visit for some camp oven stew and some sophisticated conversation while burning dome wood in the fire drum!

Sent from somewhere on something with that tap thing

Sorry no pics. Fuji's truck had 3 specks of dirt on it and so cameras were confiscated! Probably should brag about fitting a canopy to a Missan navara even if it was just to get it home! Hope it got home....

Hope everyone got home from their trips.

Had an interesting drop in last night. A family (unknown to us) who had been at Ulupna island were on their way home when they blew a tyre on the trailer. The dad pulled into our place and asked if he could leave the trailer till morning since he didn't have a spare. Poor bloke was trying to beat the rush home today, but had to come back today with a tyre.

Heard some horror stories people barely getting out of 1st gear between Echuca and Rochester the traffic was that bad. So fingers crossed for all those running the gauntlet that you get home safely.

Just had a look off my back deck and can still see streams of red tail lights heading south on the Northern and Hume, but seem to be moving at normal speed.

And 1.5 hours to drive from Moama to Echuca I knew there was a reason we didn't camp this Easter.  Might go out in a few weeks.

And with 11 pages of peoples plans for Easter I hope we see a heap of trip reports. They don't have to be editorial masterpieces with photos ready to jump out at you, simple words and great pictures to go along will tell the story.

Hoping to see what other places look like, I know I will get a few words and pictures together

GG

We spent 5 days at Rainbow Beach in absolutely glorious weather. Only managed 1 photo in the 5 days, so just to keep you happy, we're going to do it again this weekend so we can get a trip report for you, OK  ;D

The sacrifices we make  >:D

We were at Hill End last month, loved it, stayed 4 nights at Village Campround run by NPWS. Checked out the Bridle Track and there are some nice looking campsites on the Turon. Went as far as the landslide and can`t imagine council would want to spend money taking equipment way out there. >:D

I have camped in the Village Campground but much prefer Glendora. only about 1.5Km out of the village, toilets and hot showers, powered sites if you need them but a whole lot less crowded in busy times.

How did it go? Were you there with Mal and his crew?

The Big $ was its usual mix of madness! We managed to get a shady spot. Good weekend for us.

Been for a drive to Nhill and Back.
Left Thursday for the weekend.  Tvan on the Back.
Good Friday was a 10.00am. start, and a road and tracks trip to Big Billy Bore.
Saturday was Big Billy Bore Camping area out to the top of the S.A. Border track, near Scorpion Springs.  Travelling the correct direction (South) to Centre Road and turned right and out Centre track onto the bitumen and down to Bordertown.
Used the Trailer deviation along the Border Track too.
Sunday was Bordertown to Nhill via McDonald Highway in the Little Desert.
Nice hot showers for everyone at the Nhill Caravan Park and tea at the Pub.
Rest overnight and Back home Monday at about 5.30p.m.
Learnt a bit about sand driving for sure.
Dragging the Tvan through the desert is not really a cheap option either.

And it was delicious, but the traffic was crapola. We sat on 90 and let everyone pass us.
