Well looks like our plans to tamala may have been saved alternator for the Prado is here so fingers crossed the husband has an alright time fitting it tonight and it runs fine. We are going to head off early Friday morning rather than our original plan of heading down to carnarvon on Thursday for the night.

so how did you fair there this afternoon? was out on the bay and had to skirt the storm that was headed in that direction (though first storm looked to be heading for the Southern end of the island but not sure exactly what happened with the second storm around 3.00 p.m), here's what we saw whilst out there anyhow .....

Yep we coped it alright.
We were parked at Track 8 on fliders, in a bit of a swamp I discovered that arvo. Good thing is the large number of trees  had us protected from it all but the rain.
Funny thing is, I was sitting on the Beach watching the kids splash about, the view to the nth was fine, until the change feeling in the air came upon me.
Here is what it looked like when I turned my head around.

Now the swamp I parked in....

The 4 nights we had, the 1st was warm, 2nd wet, 3rd cool, 4th wet.
Worst bit is, Missus thrashed me at cards.
The track along the back of the Key Holes was fun, had the water way over the bonnet in a few spots.
The drive down the centre of the island past the lookout from the Amity Point turn of was beautiful, all the new growth there now from the fire is a real nice sight.

Well, going away for 5 weeks, starting today.

Just boarded the Spirit of Tasmania to Melbourne.  Drive to Broken Hill via Lake Boga (1 night).  Staying for 5 nights at Broken Hill then down to Radium Hill for 5 nights.  Work our way through the southern Flinders Ranges to Adelaide (many nights).  Adelaide to Tailem Bend, Naracoorte, Mount Gambier, Hamilton, Geelong, Ferry across to Sorrento, up to Melbourne and catch the boat home (lots of night).

Picture is of us waiting at Devonport to board the Spirit of Tasmania Ferry tonight.

Bugger!  Looks like she's wet all over.

Has been drizzling since we got off the boat this morning in Melbourne.  Still wet here in Bendigo right now.

Ill be off to fraser on good friday. Heading off very early to beat the crowds and camping just before ngala, as close to the tip as I can get with my camper trailer. No tourists up there either, went last year same time was amazing.

I'm hoping the yobbo's keep it down at Inskip too, but i'm sure that's expecting just a little bit too much.

You taking the boat?
