Labour Day - March 2014 Vic/Tas&WA
« on: February 24, 2014, 02:31:31 PM »
So for many of us here in the deep dark south, we have a long weekend coming up in early March.  What are your plans?

I'm just waiting on swmbo's cousin to decide, but think we may end up down Phillip Island, Wilsons Prom or West Gippsland way.

Heading to the Gippsland Lakes for the Marlay Point overnight yacht race with the old man.
We've been doing it for 15 years now, it's a great race with over 100 boats taking part.
Just need a nice sou-westerley to kick in right on start time. ;D
SWMBO and the girls love it cos they get to stay in a unit right on the canal in Paynesville ;D

I'm riding in the Karri Cup in Northcliffe. Its a MTB race. I'm not fit enough to do the 100km, so I'm only doing the 50km event. That'll probably kill me too!! Camping on the rec ground for the weekend.
