I am lucky to have unlimited access to 10 acres along the Goulburn River in Jamison, Vic. Has 3 swimming holes deep enough to swim in, in summer and no another person around for miles and backs onto state park.

Big fires, loud music and partying all night, on the boys weekends away. :)

Also has a cabin that sleeps 6 people, for the winter months but prefer the tent when we go with the family.

No more rushing to get prime position at Xmas, Easter, Long weekends :) :)

Bullant 4x4 I look forward to spending Xmas with ya mate  >:D

If all my plans fall into place? I'm hoping to have started "Nomading" for a few years.

Brian hook the Prado on mate and move the rig. Pulled a 12 tonne tipper up our side drive with the Paj.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

You're welcome to come visit, just have no facilities at the moment so its bush camping only......
We visit the pub on the way in on Friday night for a game of darts and a few beers.
Leave Sunday lunch.
We also can't accommodate too many as the track is getting churned up until we put some base down.

Cheers
Brian

Well Mark and I have been working hard and the road down to the river is now almost complete.............

We also set up a temporary shower and toilet block until the shed is built.

It's rather nice to have a hot shower after working on road building all day.........
A few water tanks down there now with approximately 1000 litres of fresh water now.

Hopefully this weekend we can build a log bridge across the creek so we don't have to put the tractor on the track and tear it up.
Then we can finish levelling the site for the shed and get the septic in.............

For now though, we have a great bush camp, hot shower, toilet and endless supply of firewood.
The 6km drive to the local pub helps, but I really need to practice my darts................

When I'm busting my boiler working there on weekends, I occasionally wonder why? but when I read more threads of fools and bad neighbours camping, I realise it was definitely a good move.

This will be awesome once finished but a hell of good time when building it all. Your own piece of paradise. Very envious and best of luck with it.

Why are you over East?  ;D

Do I understand it correctly that this is you home or is this your weekend away site?

At the moment its just a private campsite. We do plan on inviting guests (fellow swaggers etc) once we have enough facilities to cope and the road is acceptable.

Didn't quite realise how much I'd fall in love with the town and if I can con the wife, we'll buy a house in town nearby.........
She seems to love $h1tney though for some stupid reason. ???

Anyhow, back down this weekend to build a log bridge across the creek, cook a roast and light a fire.
I just have to remember to take pics....

I love what you have got happening here.
I always look in the Sunday Telegraph real estate section at properties and dream. Lo and behold in last Sundays paper was a 110 acre Weekender block at Taralga, 2 paddocks, 3 dams and good access according to the ad. Auction range $80,000+

Mate, I looked for around 4 years on and off, but seriously for around 2 years till the right place came up.
Plenty around with no river, but it was a must for us.

Good luck with your search, but in the meantime PM me and I'll have a chat. (I'm in the NW Shitney too)
