Trailer Coupling
« on: February 20, 2014, 07:20:21 AM »
Hi
as another thread is running regarding "non compliant couplings" i thought i would start a new one.But its mainly a question regarding the hitch i have.
It is a

Trigg Bros A800 made in Sth Aust  .on the base/neck of the yoke attached to the shaft it has stamped PB705 then on one side of the yoke it has stamped PB 750 3000kg Non over ride. rotate the poly block yoke 180 Degrees it has stamped PB 700 2000 kg non over ride.i only went out to check my coupling after reading the other thread. I dont know why two different rating are stamped on the same yoke i assume you have to have the yoke turned up on way for the trailer with over ride brakes if no over ride brakes you turn the yoke over  am i wrong in thinking this???I have electric brakes and there is no hand brake set up on my ct so i usually just hooked up not checking the position of the yoke .I cant see any difference in the yoke which ever way it is positioned so why the two different stamps on the yoke any ideas?
