My new project.........Deckson Daredevil
« on: February 01, 2014, 08:42:45 PM »
Picked this up today. An early 70's Deckson Daredevil with a Kirby 2 stroke engine. All complete but will get a resto. Runs & rides, motor has good compression so won't get touched, carb needs a rebuild & tune. Too cool for school.
Cheers, Mike.

2015 Mitsi Pajero. Dobbo MRR Lift, ARB Bar, MM4X4 Lock Up Mate, Intervolt DC Pro DBS, 12,000lb Mako winch. Bla Bla Bla.

96 80 Series. Lots of mods, not enough wheeling. - Gone but not forgotten.

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

When I was a kid, the Deckson Eagle was popular.

Does it have the "dink-diddle-dink-dink" sound from the centrifugal clutch??

I wasn't rich enough to own one. I had a home made version....a motor-mower engine between 2 wheel-barrow wheels. Had heaps of fun, but the kidneys copped a pounding.......

That looks very cool.
Brings back memories of screaming along the beach at Avalon near Geelong on one. And going tits up in a drain.

Keep the pics coming and show us the results

The Rockhopper was very similar. Slightly different in the frame. Was sold as a Deltek Rockhopper.
Cheers, Mike.

I love the old minibikes. Here's my project, the bike was given to me after I commented on the one Jack Black was riding on Yo Gabba Gabba.

Me too. One side of the bars snapped when my sister was riding it, she came off and had a heap of stitches in her knee!

I'd almost give my right arm to buy it off you :)
