Thinking of selling the Hilux, trying to get a rough price.
« on: January 30, 2014, 04:26:33 PM »
Its starting to look like the Hilux is going to have to go. Its either the Hilux or the fiancĂ©e and a house.   ;D ;D

So I'm just trying to get a rough price what people think it would be worth before putting it up.

Details:
2012 Hilux Extra cab SR
ARB Delux bullbar
ARB side rails
Rod holders
Buds customs/Monster rides bash plates
Australian Ultimate Suspension 2inch lift with adjustable shocks and heavy duty rear leaves with greasable shackles.
BFG all terrains 265/70/16s on steel rims with 2 spare tires and rims
Safari snorkel
Uniden CB radio
Outback overhead roof console
Genuine Toyota heavy-duty steel tray with sides
Aluminium jack off canopy with legs
Track mounted roofracks on top of canopy
Dual battery system with second battery in the canopy
120amp hour second battery
Genuine Toyota Heavy duty towbar with a flat 7 plug

70,000kms
Serviced by toyota since new.

Theres probably a few more things I've forgotten too.

I was thinking about $42,000 with everything on it. Cost me just under $70,000 to get it set up to this point.

Cheers guys.

Lose the fiancee, keep the hilux, don't worry about the house, keep modding the hilux :)

I suggested that. Didn't go down well.  ;D

Would love to keep it, but its time to be sensible for once in my life.

Knightlux, I would try to sell the canopy separately as you would get a better price than trying to sell as a package. Just my thoughts. ;D

Knightlux i dont mean to be brutal but with all the additions make sure you sell privatly

Most yards work on the following formula for 4wd vehicles

Red book value based on model x km x condition + 10% for professionally legal modifications

Thats just where I'm starting my thinking at. Bit hard to price it as it's still a new model and with all the add ons.

I thought about that as well but I cant see myself coming out in front after the time or money spent stripping it. Would have to take time off work or pay ARB. Its still worth a thought but.

Were you staying at Ben-ewa? The hilux I was thinking about I thought arrived at Ben-ewa on around 4th or 5th.

It was my first time there and had a ball. Very surprised to see so many people there from wollongong. We we arrived at Ben-ewa there was a group of at least four campsites there leaving the next day all from wollongong

Onto the ute, $42k sounds like a good buy for someone who wants to have some fun. You're going to miss it though.

Yeah at Ben-ewa the whole time, Campsite closest to the water. Was with a white pootrol and a 70 series cruiser.

There was so many people from the Illawarra there. Couldn't believe it. The whole time we were there too.

Did you have the Tinnie out the front? If so we gave you a hand to drag it up the beach one night.

Loved Moreton Island. Wish it was closer to home.

Going to check Stradbroke out next year to keep the 'less then adaptable' amoungst us happy.

Good buy for that money, the accessories cost a motza fitted, maybe add some interior pics of canopy.

Haha no worries. You said no a few times but we insisted! How'd you go with fish? We tried off the beach but got zip.

If you want to sell the hilux wheels, steel or original alloys let me know. I might be interested.

Only got a couple of eaters from out near the wrecks. I've never caught anything off the beach there. But thats more to do with my fishing skills. haha

Its an SR so I've got the set of stock steel wheels and basically new stock tires on them. No alloys unfortunately.

I'll see what goes with the car then sell the rest. :'(
