« on: January 22, 2014, 08:11:46 PM »
Hey guys, after a bit more feedback on a possible purchase.   http://www.camptime.com.au/Pro_List.asp?ID=6,27&Type=text    I am after any info that people may have on these.   I will go and have a look at them in person when I can get to Melbourne.    ???

Don't know the importer but I give you the same advice as the Toptrailer, spend some $$ and time in mods and it should be fine. At $12k, that is a good price. Make sure you re-invest so e of these savings back in to the CT if the inspection goes well.

Is the draw bar bolt on? It looks like it's bolted on in the first pic and held in place by some rather small looking tabs?

Could just be the pic, the draw bar doesn't seem to meet the spring hangers or go very far backwards past the edge of the tub either.

None of these things may be detrimental, just observations.

Regards

Jas

Good question. I reckon there would have to be 20-30 importers across the country. Maybe more.

I even heard Roothy's selling them for $15k with 2 years free subscription. ;D
First 100 sold get a free Roothy tool roll to repair the CT.

Oh sweet, a free Roothy tool kit.

So it should be ok to drag up to the Cape then ;-)

Thanks guys, worthwhile tips, especially the draw-bar which I can only see when viewing in person.    They've got a showroom in Craigieburn (Vic) but are a Qld based company.   Looks like a 4 hour drive to check them out!

Had to admire the honesty of the rep at Top Trailer (EZY Trail in Vic) who said you would not be able to pull it up to the cape.

Hi Wilko, i was in Camptimes showroom yesterday checking out a Landmate CSi and the drawbar is bolted on then welded and looked quite good to me, overall, quite impressed with the quality of an imported trailer.

Don't use either as much as i like,
