Yes, we've never had a need for the high lid or thermometer although the electronic ignition would be nice...

Hey mate,

we bought the 220 and now i wish I had of got the smaller q100. the 220 is to small for a big home cook up but to big to take away camping. My mate just bought the Q100 and I really like it so I might be getting one soon too.

They are great bits of kit, a mate uses his Q100 on the boat for every trip and that's where I saw just how good they can be as a portable little unit with a small 2.5kg gas bottle. ;D ;D

Others may have a different opinion but I am usually cooking for 2-3 or 10 and the 220 is good for 5-6 if you get what i mean. ;D ;D

I did a pork rolled roast on the Ziggy last night. Instructions were to cook it on high for first 20min.
Thermometer said it was just over 300degrees.  Tasted beeaauutifuuuuul!

Son just bought the q100 and have to admit it's a lot smaller than the ziggy and would be easier to pack.

It's just they're a bit common:-)

The Baby Q for two people is simply perfect,  I have found for me and the missus its ideal is saying that I know there are plenty of people that use them to cook for more than two as well, I like the fact that it is not overly big so it doesnt take up much room and they use bugger all gas to achieve the end result :cup:.

Hell yes! Perfect for camping!

Got the ziggy at home (couldn't be stuffed building another bbq) and it is great, larger than the Q100. We prefer the weber when we're away tho.

Love my Baby Q. Awesome bit of kit.  The big BBQ is now only used for the wok burner!

I spent the extra and got the Q100E with the high lid, temp gauge and electronic ignition.  Nice extra features to have, but not sure if I'd miss them.  fitting a temp gauge to the standard ones is a cheap $10 mod.

Masters have them on special at the moment for $258 with a free cover valued at $25.

Buying the Weber accessories is a bit addictive too...

i was thinking the higher lid for roast's and the thermometer could be handy.

The high lid model is only 10mm higher.  The temp gauge and electronic ignition are the real bonuses of getting the "E" model.

The Baby Q for two people is simply perfect,  I have found for me and the missus its ideal is saying that I know there are plenty of people that use them to cook for more than two as well, I like the fact that it is not overly big so it doesnt take up much room and they use bugger all gas to achieve the end result :cup:.
We are a family of four and find the size just right.  Agree they don't use much gas.  Have gone through 2 x 4 kg bottles for the Primus stove in the same time as less than one for the Weber.

Hmm.. worried now... just looked at dimensions... where the hell am i going to store it.!!! ??

Get a Weber bag or a cheaper OzTrail canvas bag and stuff it in the trailer or front toolbox.
