I know nothing.............

I joined pradopoint earlier in the year when I downgraded to the prado and I have stayed well clear of any of that sort of behaviour.
(I have the electrical section on myswag for a half scale war or I can talk to the missus for a full scale war..... ;D)

HOWEVER - I did manage to come across this link today on there which I reckon is great...............For any prado owners out there....

http://intranet.toyotaperu.com.pe/tdp_sit/data/TOYOTA/LAND_CRUISER_PRADO/rm17x1e/index2.html

This link is copied from Prado point.......

Can someone fill us non-Prado people in with regards to what was going on with moderation, possums and so on?

A handful of newer members took it upon themselves to start a thread and talk about crap (possums). The possum talk took over other threads until they pretty much hijacked the entire site. The moderator, let's call him 'Big Pig', came back and banned the lot of them. The possum crew weren't happy about this, some free speech rant crap, and created new accounts with different names, these also got banned. Finally they took their bat and possums and buggered off.

Sounds like a solid basis of information to base a forum on  ::)

Actually if you read some of the banter on the new site that goes on between the banished ones, it would seem they have had a new site on the go for quite some time and deliberately set out to stir the pot at PP, I believe their still trying to do it under different user names in an attempt to poach PP members.

Interestingly enough their forum rules are more or less the same as or strictor than the PP ones they complained about.

Yes I have noticed lots of new members with 1 or 2 posts causing trouble but they seemed to get banned pretty quickly.

Yeah don't know why the electrical section always cause so much friction, seems everyone has a polarised view and only there's is valid.

If find it really frustrating when you provide manufactures own data showing their devices aren't as good as they say and people still don't accept it. Dam where's my valium:)

They did not create new accounts but they did bugger off. It's very flattering that you are still talking about us. Your obsession with the KLC is getting a bit old now, try to let it go and move on.

No one is interested in stirring any pot or poaching, the internet is big enough for two prado sites. The rules are very similar because the message board software that is used, is the same and available for anyone to use and set up a new forum. There were no complaints about any of the rules. I personally was unhappy with what was IMO unfair use of the rules.

At the end of the day, people who like PP will stay there and people who do not will move on, that's life and we all have the right to do as we choose.

I said it years ago.. We don't need more, we need less forums but with better content and control... but the pissing competitions will kill that off everytime, and every 12yr old wants to be a moderator on his own forum.
Theres about 10 Patrol forums inc Yahoogroups.

Like a lot of Forums, if not all at some stage, personalities get too big and there are head clashes and urinating contests.

Now I can't talk for any other Prado owners but the first mod I did on my camper trailer (MDC T-Box V3) was to strip out the carpet and apply liquid water proofing to the inside of the trailer. With my Champion Aqua Cube and my built in under body water tank I can knock up 80l of jelly in 15 minutes.
I think you need a few creature comforts after a hard days drive in the outback.

To get this thread back on Topic, it was to highlight a new forum for Prado owners, www.pradotech.com from our point of veiw it doesn't matter wether u belong to another forum or not all memebers will be treated equal. All i can say is a lot of the user names are very familiar.
