We're waiting for number three child to arrive…any day now!

We also love the life we're living now….working when we want, spending time as a family. Life on the road is great!!

Being offered the chance to take a redundancy package and retire a few years earlier than I would otherwise have managed. It is only since I stopped working that I have realised how much it was getting me down. I recommend a life of leisure if you can manage it.

It's been a low year for us. . . .

My wife was diagnosed with terminal cancer & will be lucky to see all of 2014 but the best thing we did was cash in her insurances so I could give up work to be with her. . . . . . . . . . . . .

Me being made redundant in Janruary of this year.

Stuck in a job that I didn't really like but was paying to well to do anything about it. LB was stuck in a job she was getting over due to comapny changes and the daughter didn't like her school and it was a constant battle to get her to school every day.

Being made redundant gave us the push to sell out house in Sydney and move to Orange.

Best thing we have done and ther eis no way we would ever go back now.

LB got a job before we moved, I now have a contract role that will almost certainly turn perm. and the daughter has made some really great friends at her new school.

Roll on 2014, we will hopefully be able to buy another place and stop paying someone elses mortgage off for them.

we took the plunge and took 12 months off work and have been exploring this great land of ours since February, 5 yr old daughter has loved it, we have spent quality time with her before she starts school, we have all learnt so much.

Hubby and I are still happily married after sharing the CT with miss 5 yr old for a year.

Highlight of trip/year so far the walk in and out of Kermits Pool at Karajini National Park, WA, AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Test driving early retirement - every chance we get :)

The best thing for us was I introduced my wife and daughter to camping.
Which lead to our first camper trailer.

There is nothing better then getting away for some quality time with the family.
Especially because the little girl is only 2 so she still likes me at the moment.

We're still here.  ;D
What a great year, so many little things fell into place and some that didn't, I guess that's life.
Watching the kids grow, achieving well at school and at sport.
Helping to host the National Meet.
Finding new tracks to explore.
The camper got a new Fridge & Tent section.
Out of 10 it would have to be 9.9/10 and you've gotta be happy with that.  ;D

We took the year off work, moved to Australia, and spent it travelling around with our 2yo son. It's been a great year, and I look forward to next year.

Wheatstone or Gorgon?

We were in the NT until May this year and doubts of viability of the refinery came about towards the end of 2012. Glad we jumped shipped considered they have recently announced it would be closing and so many of the people up there are awaiting to find out if they have a job elsewhere or just going to get a payout.  Slowly getting used to an even smaller town (Onslow) but upside is we are seeing a bit of WA now.

Given the news of full remission from cancer.
It doesn't get any better than that.

To anyone out there fighting this terrible disease, please stay positive and I hope that everything works out for you and your loved ones.
No matter what, and especially at this time of year; cherish who and what we have!

Thanks guys.

I didn't know how wound up I was until the day I stopped work . . . .

Now I don't know how I actually had time to go to work, between looking after her, working on the garden so we have some where she can access in her wheel chair & taking her shopping as all her clothes don't fit.
