When I were a lad, we were so poor, the only time we t'ad 'ot meal were when dog was t'sick.
Had to eat baked beans for tea, so we could have a bubble bath.
we was so poor they cut holes in my pants pockets so's i'd have something to play with
We were so poor we didn't break wind we broke dust
We were so poor.. My sister tried to raise some money out on the streets. She came home with eighteen pounds ten pence. I said what tight git gave you ten pence? She said they all did !
