Help with outback drawers installation...
« on: November 10, 2013, 11:40:27 AM »
Hi guys.  Picked up some outback drawers on the landcruiser owner group. Came with a bag of bits and pieces. Can't for the life of me work out where these 6 plates go.  Also came with cargo barrier, divider and shelf,  not sure if they are from that. 200 series cruiser. Any ideas....

Are they packer plates to level the base of the drawers? I had something similar with my Outback drawers, only realised after I had bolted them in. Suffice to say I didn't take the drawers out again to fit the packers. If it doubt ask Outback, I found them good with responses via email.

They look like they are the packer plates. The instructions that come with the ARB outback drawers say for a 200 series, put 3X10mm under hat section A, 2 X 10mm under hat section B and also pack the corners. Outback make them for ARB don't they so yours would be similar in installation??? but may be a little different so I'd be contacting Outback because there's a cautionary note that says failure to install the packers correctly will cause the frame to flex.
If I was a bit smarter I'd copy and send it to you but it seems to be a locked PDF document???

Thanks. Will have another look. Not sure if they are arbs version anyway. On your 200 is there any mounting bolts. All I can get to line up is 2 rear where the seat bolted. Cant see where the others are. Might see if I can get some fitting instructions.

Thanks mate.  See if you can email it to shaunreynolds2@gmail.com do the packer's just sit under frame as I can only see the 2 rear fixing points.

I've sent you the pages that were relevant to a 200 series. As I said previously, they are for the ARB "outback" modular drawers. Are they the drawers you have? If not the dimensions might be different, up to you to work that out.

Cheers
Bob
