I packed the boat yesterday with food and this morning, it was just the drinks and us that had to get on board.
We've stowed everything away and Mrs Jeepers is in a very good mood, so i'm thinking i won't get my hand smacked if i stick it in the cookie jar today.

Everything is tee'ed up with the other boaties we're meeting etc and we're ready to go.
So i drop the ol Sea-pen, disconnect the shore power and kick the boat in the guts.
As per usual, half to full revolution and away she goes. 5.7 litres of aquatic horsepower is itching to go.
Warm up done, i've selected drive and reverse briefly to ensure they're there, so Mrs Jeepers casts off the two front ropes and i notice the breeze was pushing us back a tad. Oh well, no problem..... except, as Mrs Jeepers is about to drop the third rope, the boat stalls.

It never does that and now we've moved half a metre.
Sh!t, throw the two front ropes back on quickly, i squealed in my best 10 year old schoolgirl voice.
I attempt to restart the boat and she's a no goer.
It sounds to me as if it has no spark.
So, unload everything and take the wife home and i head back to da marina.
1. Check killswitch..... ..................................OK
2. Check all wiring plugs in engine room..... OK
3. Check circuit breakers for a throwover.... OK
4. Remove engine cover and check fuses.... Bong bong.
We have a 20amp fuse that has called it quits.
Put in spare fuse and check with test light.. OK.
Lower Seapen and drive leg, attempt to start to blow fuse.
Fit 30amp fuse to replace 20 amp and attempt to start up.
Bingo, its running for about 4 seconds, blows fuse and stops.
Give up and decided to let the auto/marine electric guy look at it next week.
Come home and give up on boating for the week-end. The only plus was, about a minute later, the last two ropes would've been off and i would be reversing into the marina channel towards other boats moored on the other side.
Oh sh!t, am i glad it failed when i did....
I decided to check theFalcon van over after doing the headjob last week-end as it dropped a few drops of oil during the week, only to find the stoopit paper tappett cover gasket that came in the VRS kit is leaking. Geez....

I didn't like the look of last week but thought, oh well, they must work.
So, remove air cleaner, LPG thingy and pop off the cover.
Sent Mrs Jeepers to Gympie to get a good cork one and she just rings after i've eaten two cheese sandwiches to say she picked me up pile of Kentucky Fried Cat for lunch.
