Apparently its $$$$ on Kanga as well :( Big Bob from the club was going to go there once before and pulled out due to $ :(

When we go to Robe, we stay at this joint - walking distance from pub.
Beachport Southern Ocean Tourist Park
Somerville St, Beachport SA 5280
Phone:(08) 8735 8153

As you come into Beachport, on the left is the tourist joint, go in there for some maps, they have awesome maps of the 4b trips round the dunes and Shit. Then go to T intersection, pub is infront of you, turn left, theres a servo down there, then take first right and you are heading to the van park.

Its central to Robe one direction, and Carpenters Rocks the other if you wanna do a couple of day trips along the beaches - check the tides, and be VERY VERY careful on the beaches.

You can also do Narracoorte Caves another day from there..

Do it mate, its a good trip.

You will have to book as soon as you can for Xmas in Victor, but I reckon you're already too late, unless your looking at a trip after the new year.

Better book now for Robe as well.  Gets busy over Xmas.  Those pesky VIC's invade the place.

KI is beautiful. Camping isn't too expensive but would imagine to be super busy at that time.
Loads of sharks and awesome surf. The locals are just crazy, spoke to a guy that reckons they see sharks in the water weekly, they just get out of the water for half an hour and go back out.
The north side has some beautiful and calm beaches and the west end has some great walks and awesome beaches too.
My biggest dissapointment was lack of coastal access as most of it is private property.

But I would go back there just for more of this!

If I had known they were a pest and you aren't meant to chuck them back I could have filled the fridge!
But coming from WA and the fines you get for taking marron out of season and without a lisence I felt a bit guilty taking these.
If it wasn't an hours walk to get there I would have gone back for the other 20
