We found a top little beach side camp spot today.....

We'd seen it from the boat a couple of times, so today we sussed it out.

Nice little sandy beach about 200 metres wide, very swimable calm water and nice camp sites. Dog friendly, easy access in and around, shaded areas to set up and the best spot was about 5 metres from the waters edge.
How many were there i hear you ask...... 2 camps set up. 

We also spent the time to check out Inskip..... stuff me sideways, camp sites everywhere.
Anyway, we're gunna give the secret spot a whirl shortly and report back.

Nah, not a creek, so a different spot, but where are you thinking of?

I know about the one that fronts either Kauri or Teebah creek.

The spot we found, has most likely been driven past by a lot of people on here and never knew that just missed it.

I'm itching too, but i wanna try it out first before you lot go there and bugger it up.
I asked one camper if he did any good with the fishin....

To which he replied, yeah, couple fish and a few crabs, so not too bad.
Easy to launch a small tinny from the beach too.

Poverty point
only problem is it is within the "Cooloola Recreational area" so shouldn't have dogs

Can’t be poverty point as Jeepers said it got a good spot for launching a boat. Poverty point is only good for launching a boat at high tide, otherwise it turns into a big mudflat.

One more question is it within the Inskip point vicinity??

If that’s the case then I’m pretty sure I know where you are talking about and you are correct it is a nice quiet spot with good a boat launching beach.

Shhhhhh,    but seriously, how many have driven past this and missed it.

We're gunna try to get there next month for a few days.
We'll get lots of pics and then place some GPS settings etc up on here.

The only way we spotted it was from our boat, otherwise, we'd never found it.

I have this habit (my wife thinks it’s a annoying habit) of driving down side tracks to see what at the end. Most of the time it leads to nothing, but occasionally you come across a little gem like this place. 

If your by yourself and the sand is dry and hot, just be very careful as the sand can get very very soft just as you come down the little slope near where the camp sites start.

But your secret spot is safe with me and enjoy.

Looks a nice little spot there Jeepers, the track in seems a bit thin in places ... thats assuming I have right place though ...Sand flies / midgies ?? maybe.

It would make a great little swaggers getaway spot huh. Get in early, take all the good spots for the swaggers and let the plebs make their own arrangements.

Dammmm I hate midgies and sandflies, Havnt had them on the eastern beach on Fraser, just walked out the back yard and the mongrels started mauling me... Beer cures the itch, right !!!..
