Hi, I know there is lots of issues wrt the early jayco roofs and opening my (1981 model after a few years on non use it is not great. The roof hatch was badly cracked for a while by the looks. The canvas has no holes but the inner curtains are rotted out and the roof around the vent is stuffed. Interior and floor is good just the roof. Now was thinking of removing the inside roof and replacing any damaged bearers from the inside but :
q1. What material to use to replace inner roof and where in Vic to get it?
q2. The roof hatch which caused the issues , can that be replaced with a larger unit with new frame again where to get this.
q3. There are jayco canvas advertised in the usa $1200 shipped are they worth getting instead of local replacement?
what can you treat the canvass with to re juvinate it and re waterproof it.
q4. could I sell it as is to someone wanting a good unit except roof work? All else is good.
Have full length (bed end to bed end) Tebbs annex in great condition. Anyone interested in that as I don't need it and might help with repair cost.
Love that van. Cost me $4000 in 1982 so owes me little I guess I would either like $2000 for it as is or spend $2000 on it but not more.
