the kitchen hinges out on the left, and folds off the left side it would end up out into the middle of the tent/annexe area and be right in the way I guess.

The tent is ment to fold out the same side the boat rack is.  I will be back Saturday but I'm back out at work so I have to wait 8 days till I'm home to have a play.

Exactly how I saw it also. You would be walking around the kitchen all the time. Unless the gate opened a full 180* then it would run along the tent wall, but may then interfere with door or windows

Tru Blu have a double gated tailgate on the model Timbo has.. One opens 180 against the tent with shelf, and tap etc on it (really good thinking), and the other 90 with a kitchen on it

SWMBO  informs me that our camper has returned and is all fixed. They done a very good job and she tells me you can hardly tell they done anything to it. Her dad thought it was a whole new trailer.

All happy now. They fixed it with very little fuss and made a few changes for me at no cost.

Now you can hopefully have a laugh about it.
Good to see a manufacturer giving good support, hope it all works well for you.

Yeah, mistakes happen.
The important thing is how they respond to correct the issue.
