Hope everything works out Snow.  The Mrs heard that Creek Ridge Road was closed. Are the fires over the river near Glossy as well?

The weather has settled and cooled down and I don't think we have any worries here now. The fire up on Hawkesbury Heights and Winmalee is causing mucho headache though.

The RFS FB page has some good info. https://www.facebook.com/#!/nswrfs

From Quackers, jump on the Windsor Rd and then on to the Bells Line and you'll be fine.

Cheers Snow, that is the way i went down and came back home.

Should be right Steve, saw last night they were letting resindents back into Yellowrock and even had Journos there taking pics. It's going to keep burning down in the valley because as you know that country is hard to stop fires in?  I am in Melbourne at the moment  but when back If you need anything checked out flick us a PM Iam not far from you.
Here for a good time, not a long time!

Big fires and it is still 'winter' in the technical sense - just as it is still 'officially' summer in the Northern Hemisphere.

http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/2013/09/12/07/02/sydney-bushfire-still-out-of-control

A bushfire has shut down the M1 motorway north of Sydney following a backburning operation in the area.
NSW Fire & Rescue Superintendent Ian Krimmer said firefighters were trying to put out the fire near the Mandalong Road interchange.

"Crews have requested the motorway to be closed," he said on Thursday afternoon.
