Why not sit down and ring them all yourself ??? I think if you search the forum you may get 1-1000 threads on who to insure with.

YMMV

Don't buy on price alone.....make sure you read the PDS so that you know exactly what your are covered for.

CIL, the reason is they will cover the camper on any off road track in Australia. I used to hire campers to Cape York and used CIL. They were brilliant.

Before you choose make sure they will cover you the same as CIL.

As a new CT owner, I also went with CIL - even spoke with our broker to quote from contacts at work and they recommended them....

Also at the moment you get free travel saver card- discounts on lots of items Australia wide per this link, per this link

http://www.cilinsurance.com.au/cil-travel-saver

Not much for us WA members - but plenty of east coast discounts I noticed

FYI

Do a ring around.  I had used CIL for the KK but they kept upping their premiums, did a ring around and AAMI was considerably cheaper for the same cover I had had.

To me CIL where working like some others do, creep up the premiums each year in the hope you wont notice.

For the past few years I have made it a habit of doing the ring around for all our insurance, most is with AAMI, but a few years ago the Mrs car was changed to Bingle (an AAMI subsidiary, go figure) with a big $ difference, seems she had all of a sudden become a BIG risk to AAMI, even though she had never made a claim :(

NRMA... multi policy discount and no claims...blah blah blah.  It works for us and is well priced.

Good luck.

Just renewed our insurance, had CIL but Youi has just added camper/caravan insurance to their range and I saved around $240 by switching.

Why?
I reckon everything should be covered - maybe not in an open annexe, but if its 4 walls it should be. I thought that's what insurance is for.
If you are base camping at fraser for example, and some scrote comes in and steals your shiz, it should be covered..
