Oh what a day
« on: September 02, 2013, 07:18:57 PM »
Started out fine until I dropped apiece of glass on my ankle.  Bit of duct tape to hold it together until I could get to the drs and get 4 stitches this afternoon around 4.  Then off to see specialist for a vasectomy at 6 tonight. First time I've ever had stitches twice in one day and quite sure I will remember this day fo years to come so sitting here in a world of pain trying to keep my mind off it. :-[

It could have been worse, u could have spent a couple of months in the hospital like me, then never be able to live ya life like ya use to..

4 stitches,
i had 40 plus staples, that time, plus several stitches..

gone back to hospital several times since, each time getting more stitches. having more operations..

so sorry to hear u dropped some glass on ya foot and got 4 stitches it must have hurt..

can u wear boots or are u having to wear moccies. etc..

how long do u have off work or are u expected back tomos.

Good luck with the snippity snip mate.

When I had mine done, no word of a lie, the Dr was Dr Johnson so I thought I was in good hands. That was until he moved onto old righty and it started to hurt like a you know what when he put the clamp on. Obviously not enough anesthetic. recovery at teh day surgery went well, I even climbed into the 80 okay. But by the time I got home the local anesthetic had worn off and it was murder to get out of the 80...................OUCH!!!

Steal the frozen peas from the freezer.
Probably best to throw them away once finished though.

How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?  (Homer J Simpson).

the bride went in today for a a operation to have her appendix removed and ended up being transferred to Coronary Care Unit after having a heart attack while on the table.  Could be in Hospital for a bit longer then planned.

I cut the main artery in my wrist when I was a young fella along with all muscles and all tendons. Over 200 stitches to repair it along with a blood transfusion. Still didn't work needed another operation at hand hospital in Sydney to get it all working agin properly and a cast bending my wrist back to stretch tendons for 12 weeks. My injury list is huge  to many broken bones stitches etc.  So this situation is not that uncommon it's just been few years.

dont ever accept Prodeine forte, thats the chemists own brand, doesnt work as well..

if u get anotehr packet ask the chemist for Codelgin Forte.. it used to be aussie made and I think a little stronger. its also cheaper if u are paying full price.

those threee are on the same script, the doc wont care its a choice of the chemist and you.

I don't know how it can be as it is the same ingredients which is 30 mg Codine and 500 Paracetamol. There are plenty of brands that do the same things and it is unlikely that they are any different in any way, just cheaper.

I was on them for 18 years, only just gone onto something different in the last couple of weeks.

I started on panadeine forte, and when the patent expired, the chemist put me on prodiene forte and it didnt hold the pain off.
eventually I tried codalgin forte and it stopped the pain..

I ahve told other ppl about it and now they only have codalgin forte, they noticed the same thing..

dont ask me how it works as they are suppose to be the same ingredients like u said but the codalgin forte worked better for me and them.
