Yeah, theres a bit of that too, it has lost its bond with the  main structure in a couple of very small area's, really just want to pump something in there to get a few more years out of it....guess eventually it will need stripping back and resurfacing

Grrrrr.    If you want to ask a question about concrete pools, put it in the subject line.   Then the 95% of us with no interest or knowledge won't waste time opening the thread.

The two seconds were unfortunately unavoidable ... but the extra couple of minutes spent typing in reply, rests solely on the shoulders of the typer ... typissed ... typist.

My two cents ... if you've got issues with the Pebbles ... call Bamm Bamm ... Yabba Dabba Doo.

Pebble Crete lifting around a pool . The best way to sort the problem is a small hand brush  , dust pan & a bucket . Lay the dust pan as flat on the surface as possible , as a sheep dog would do chase the louse pebbles into the pan . Gently lift & at the same time lean the pan dack to collect the pebbles at the back tp transport them to a point of collection , the bin .
lf these directions are to hard to follow or as a bloke you don't read them , as your wife how to do it . She will fill you in .
You can go your own way . Treg Up & Make Dust

What are you doing back here wasting valuable time ... again ... ;D

I do agree though ... the subject heading heading is for headings ... so as long as we're heading in the same direction, I'll be heading off.

But before I go ...

I think you've misconstrued the pebble problem ... its not around said pool, but it in the pool (as far as I'm led to believe), as in the pool surface ... this being the surface structure inside the pool, as opposed to the pool surface interpretation where the subject then in question would be the water surface ... not to be confused with surf-face, that would be more likely to be referencing wave height or say a surfer who has their surf face on so to speak. The surf face is predominantly found at beaches rather than pool side, and the problems associated with beaches are more to do with sand than pebbles, but some exceptions do exist to the rule, even more so if one is to take the next step and bring rocks into the equation. Hope that helps to clear things up.

There are epoxies for everything these days, google epoxy repair solutions and give one of the many supply companies a call for the product and method

I have the same problem in my pool..

Mostly caused by the copers slightly lifting, taking the pebblecrete with it..

When the pool was pebblecreted, ideally it should have had something between the crete and the copers ( like a sealant ) so they could have moved independently of each other..

Only proper fix is to strip it back and re pebblecrete it....but then you'll probably see the patch area, so depending on where it is ( mines at the front of the pool, so you can't see it unless you go to the other end ), maybe put up with it for a few more yrs !!!!

If it's only a crack repair, have you thought about using Araldite. I've warmed it with a hair dryer a few times to make it a little more runny, you have to be careful not to get it to hot or it yellows slightly when dry.  I had a play with making some pebble crete up years ago for a step, used small washed pebbles allmost sand and mixed with a good quality polyurethane paint. Worked ok but did end up wearing.
