New model Jaycos ... coming soon?

Anyone have an idea when the new model Jaycos will make an appearance? Does Jayco tend to release them at the start of the calendar year, or (like cars) do they come out before the start of the year.

We're considering getting a new OB Swan, and we don't like the idea of getting one of the last of what will be "the old model".

Also, anyone have experience with the black checkerplate of the 2013 models with a few k's under their wheels? How are they holding up?

Is silver checkerplate an option with the 2013 model, or (as I suspect) have they gone all Henry Ford on us ("any colour you like, as long as it's black")?

Yes, 2013 is the current model ... I'm wondering if anyone has any gossip on when the 2014 models will start to be sold ... is it Jan 2014, or do they release them early (like cars)?

Mate, the 2013 haven't been out too long so the current model will be in production for a while. Black checker plate is the only option on the 2013.

I think generally Jayco make majorish updates every 3 years.

  I've got the black checker plate on my 2013 O/B Swan done about 5000k now including a trip up to Chareleville back down to Eulo To Hungerford then back into Bourke and other than showing up more dirt have no issues at all still looks new after a bit of a tub. Cheers Dice

The door is a new design on the 2013 and the fridge is different. Apart from that most of the changes are simply cosmetic.

I do like the idea of the burners being switched with the sink to make them closer to the door though.
