Any Swaggers in/around Exmouth area at the moment?
« on: August 20, 2013, 12:43:06 PM »
Hi all ... We are in Exmouth for another week and wondering if other swaggers are in the area and wanna meet up for drinks/prawns/bbq/whatever. Our 3 kids (4, 6 and 8) happy to meet other families also on the road.

We are at the Aspen/Big4 ... silver Patrol and camper trailer right near the entrance and across from the playground.

Come say hi ... I need a distraction from work anyway ;-)

We were there five weeks back, but have moved on.  Great place!  Have you been to Pinocchio’s yet?    Kevin

Hey Kevin no have not been to Pinocchios ... is it good? Currently liking the $12/kg prawns so have not yet looked at the local eateries.

Yep Big Tread mentioned he caught up with you guys DeLux ... Where abouts are you now? Still enjoying the warm weather or heading further south?

Been looking at the back of campers for MySwag stickers but as they are all set up in the park it's hard to glimpse anything. Where does everyone usually put theirs? Camper or vehicle?

Oh by the way ... 28 today with 4 knot winds and high tide at 11am! Better get some work done en its off fishing for the rest of the day. Sorry to those stuck indoors ;-)

Pinocchio’s is one of the best restaurants you will find anywhere. It has restaurant prices, but well worth a visit.  Kevin

Just check out their menu on their web site here -  http://www.pinocchiorestaurant.com.au/

Hiya Big Tread how was Cape Range and the trip down? Did you stay out near Francois Peron National Park at all? Yep still enjoying the prawns ... daily! Hope all is well with you and the family.

Hey Kevin ... Had pizzas from Pinocchios ... Bloody brilliant! Thanks for the recommendation ... We'll be going back for a sit down meal soon.

Still hoping to see other swaggers up this way ... We are heading into Karijini next week and then Millstream the week after.

Hey Sanz,

We stayed in Denham and did a day trip into Francois Peron NP, great day, saw heaps more wildlife off the cape than we did on the so call wildlife cruise of a lifetime out of Monkey Mia.

Cheers Big Tread

Hi,

We are in Broome tonight going to Cape Leveque sun and mon nights then off to 80 mile beach, karijini, cape range NP, coral bay, and making our way down the coast.

Always happy to have a mini myswag meet anywhere along the way!!

Cheers

Hiya Dave ... Will probably catch you in Karijini as we have another week in Exmouth and then off to Karijini for a week or three! No detailed itinerary but we'll be around the area so would love to catch up. We're hoping to make it to Broome before the wet season so would love to chat about your travels up that way.

When you head out to Cape Range NP and if you're not towing a caravan you may want to stay at Boat Harbour. Nice tucked in behind the dunes, some reef and a safe beach ... And I know the camp hosts from way back, great people. Less crowded as well and nearly guaranteed to get in. Bit further along than the main camps but heaps nicer I think. Lemme know if you need the camp hosts' direct phone number.
