Hasn't changed from when we were there last weekend.  Problem though you can't see the 27degrees that goes with the picture.  Oh well, that paradise for you.

Bah! Paradise is such an overrated term these days!
We're currently basking in a lovely 11 degrees,  with the wind chill it feels like 6.5, and jts only just stopped raining for the first time today.
So you can have your 27 degrees, clear blue skies, white sandy beaches and clear water, cos there's nowhere id rather be.......... :-\ :'( :'(

Yep, Palm Cove one of the nicest beaches up there, or at least it used to be when we lived there.  Probably changed a bit in the last 22 years.

Enjoy my friend, enjoy

As far as I'm concerned it is still the nicest place up here.

I was reminising about living down south last night I was on the ride-on wearing shorts and singlet at 6pm last night.  I was thinking firstly it used to get dark down there at 5pm so I wouldnt be able to mow and secondly there is no way I would be wearing singlet and shorts.

Hey you guys down south, dont feel too bad, we are currently in a cold snap up here for our overnight temperatures at the moment.  Could get down to 15 or 16 degrees tonight brrrrrr.  But yes; this is paradise; 26,27 or 28 degrees every day our high for the next couple of months. ;D

Fair dinkum, you northerners are suffering from heat stroke if you reckon the definition of paradise is living your entire life above 20 degrees C.

You can always put on more layers to keep warm, but there's only so far you can go if your suffering from heat stroke.

And, there are four seasons in a year (six according to some koorie clans), and we make sure we make use of all of them!

That's why we drink more  to keep the fluids up.

Its 5:30 am, and whilst its only about 9° C at the moment, the morning sun will caress and warm the new born day. Later this morning the temperature will lift to, and stay at around 22-23° C. The crisp morning air is refreshing, I enjoy this time of day ... sitting with a cup of tea I await the rising sun ... as the predawn approaches, my morning ritual unfolds ... with surfboard under arm, I take the short walk towards the sea and cleans my soul in her loving arms.

If I tried that in FNQ, I'd get tangled in box jellyfish before eventually getting masticated by a crocodile ... no thanks.
