Cancer Council relay for life | Charity support
« on: August 09, 2013, 11:04:29 AM »
HI Guys, not sure if this is the right area or allowed but I'll ask and see how it goes.

My family actively do relay for life ( raising funds for cancer) every year. ) I know there are a few others on here that do it also)

Once a year we have a charity night / auction night which I generally get pretty sloshed and become the MC and auctioneer, We raise around $7,500 every year and our family usually gets a trial drug named after us in testing.

I'm asking if any business who is on the site or that anybody knows can contribute any products that could be either auctioned on the night or added to a large raffle that takes place.

For the guys on here that know me I'm pretty passionate about this cause and all proceeds go to the charity. For business I understand how tough it can be and you must get asked all the time and understand if no one can help but thought I'd ask. We usually get about 200-250 people on the night so your business name gets out there.

If you can help best is to PM me as I know many wish to do this kind of thing privately

Cheers

Hi Swannie
Napanangka and I do not have anything in the way of funds, but if there is enough time Napanangka could do a painting, and no need for advertising.  That could help a bit for the charity, but time is of the question.

Mate, time will probably be the issue but will hold you to it next year :) Anyway I'm sure you could do with the funds yourself anyway mate.

Thank you for the kind gesture

Just let us know when, and Napanagka will get it done.  We always manage to get by with funds, as with this time,  bit of bartering for what we are good at and we get by.  One can barter and get things achieved, and that is more enjoyable then being hard and fast about money.  The other factor is that if our talents can help people, why wouldn't we try to help.
