$12.75 P/L for 1 of our race cars. It uses approx 5L per 1/4 mile pass and around 3lb of gas @ $15 P/lb. About $100 worth of fuel/gas for 8 seconds of fun. Good fun but ;D

Shane.

It's going to stuff tourism, I paid $1:60 for diesel in Rawson just 150km out of Melbourne and my 80 series landcruiser sahara only gets 500km to 80lt. I thing I need to update to a Prado before we take our big trip up north in November or just don't go!

Kunawaritji was $3.40/lt for Diesel last month.  That's the price you pay if you want it.  I was expecting and budgeted a little more.
The alternative is to carry your own, but if you want remote travel its just not practical.

Why's that  ???
My 91 80 series 1HDT(350000k's) averages 13.8l/100 up around 17.5 when towing. Also depends on how heavy my right foot can be at times
I would presume you have the correct tyre pressures, a new or a clean air filter & fuel filter.
6.25kpl isn't real good, whats that about 16l per 100k's?
Hope it's an easy fix.

I paid $2.20 at Roper Bar this morning. Lorella wanted $3 a couple of days ago.
