Just got an email from my sons footy club and I'm pretty proud of them and the 15's...
Long story short, they are going to do a 24 hour charity run to support a young kid from out west who is battling cancer. Its been wet, FREEZIN' and foggy as hell round here lately, and 1 degree at night so its a big effort from a bunch of young blokes for a stranger they will probably never meet.
The poor kid who has cancer - his name is Tyler Fishlock, and most would have heard his story already on the TV etc.
Here's a bit about him.
The brave 11-year-old is fighting cancer again, seven years after losing his eyes to the disease.
He suffered a knock to his right eye at school last month, and mum Georgette became concerned his prosthetic eye was not sitting properly.
Tests at The Royal Children's Hospital revealed his cancer was back. Ms Fishlock said Tyler was with her when they got the news and took it bravely.
"He didn't cry, he just turned around and said, 'Am I going to die this time?', which just kills me," she said.
Tyler has had surgery at The Royal Children's Hospital and is undergoing treatment.

The Under 15 Blues are participating in a Ritchies IGA / Proudly Frankston Initiative. The project they have chosen is to have a 24 hour run-a-thon to raise funds for Tyler's medical expenses.

We are acutely aware of how blessed we are to enjoy each other's mateship & camaraderie on the football field each week something Tyler will never experience.
The team will run continuously in relay format for 24 hours to raise as much money as possible to offset Tyler's families medical costs in his brave battle against cancer.
We encourage everyone involved with the club to support the under 15 Blues team by donating and/or going to Lloyd Park to encourage the team as they strive to complete 240km in the 24 hours.All funds raised, including if the team win the money from the Proudly Frankston Initiative, will go to Tyler and his family.
