A cool roof top tent addition
« on: May 29, 2013, 03:42:42 PM »
Hi Swaggers.
Sitting at the lights this arvo I was able to admire a Landcruiser 80 series with a Rooftop tent such as the Bushranger type shown in this link.
http://www.bushranger.com.au/rooftop_tents.php#.UaWTjNhmNoi
With a BIG Difference, the tent was to the front of the vehicle and over it was a fold forward deck which looked like it folds down and covers the bonnet area with legs down to the Bullbar to support it. The tent was mounted at the front of the bar.
The fold down deck functions exactly the same as a rear fold hard floor camper, that is, down below the tent when open, and up over when closed.
I could see it was made out of Alloy, and guess there be enough room for 2 x folding chairs on it.
No pics sorry.
I thought it to be a great idea and I'd share it.

Couldn't you have run him off the road into a ditch and then taken some shots for us?  Come on

I obviously don't have the same level of dedication to the Myswag community as you, I got some way to go before I can attain that level I think.  ;D
Perhaps I'll have to make amends with a simple drawing in the time being, I'll get my 4yr old twins on to it now.
