Led Light Bars Laws
« on: May 28, 2013, 05:55:54 PM »
Just wondering if anybody knows if there is a law to stop you from putting a led light bar on top of your bulbar.
I am a little confused on what to do have a 2009 GU patrol with spotties and a full length roof rack. My problem is I want to keep the spotties but don't where the light bar would be best to mount.. On top of bulbar or on top of roof rack!!!!!!!
Any help would be great if anybody has on roof rack not happy or on bulbar not happy any thoughts?

If you check out my patrol thread you can see where I mounted mine. I put them on the roof basket.
Personally I prefer them there,  much broader light throw and it doesn't make much glare at all really.

In Queensland there are height restrictions and a rule that staes they must befitted in pairs! I figured you could probably wind some electrical tape around the centre to make it appear like two separate lights.
How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home winemaking course, and I forgot how to drive?  (Homer J Simpson).

My bonnet is lit up, lol but it isn't off putting. I'll see if I can find some photos.

I would also think the 2 light thing was squashed as Volvo trucks are now fitting a single light bar to there bullbars prior to registration.
