Bed converter in jayco swan/eagle
« on: May 19, 2013, 07:53:05 PM »
Has anyone ever tried turning the bed converter (for the club lounge) in a swan/ eagle into a table. I would prefer a table that can rise into a table position or lower into the bed position.

I was looking at a few options.

The portable fiamma option, which is essentially a pole into a tripod that  sits ion the floor.

Or a permanent mount version that is a pole recessed into the floor.

The tommy table leg is about $500.  + installation. Don't know if it would be too big too.

I have one in the Goldstream, table for during the day and bed at night. I'll set it up on the weekend and take some pics.

I remember looking at your photos and thinking it was a good idea. I think thr table pole is recessed into the floor.  Will be interested to see any photos or your views on functionality.

I had a chat to Jayco this morning, It seems the idea will work. I need to check For obstructions under the floor, like a water tank or the chassis.

Finally took some pics of the table setup for the club lounge in the Goldstream.

Plate gets screwed to the floor, the floor base gets fixed to the plate via the j bolt, the risers then fit into the floor base and the table base. Two different height risers, one for table mode the other for bed mode.
