How much would the price go up if Jayco hire quality trades people and paid them accordingly?

The price would probably go down as their warranty claims would probably reduce to zero.

I very much doubt that. Do you honestly think that if jayco were to hire "quality tradesman" then they would have zero claims? And therefore the cost of there product would be cheaper? I cant see that happening unless these "quality tradesman" only want to be paid $20 per hour.

With the amount of vans they build there is always going to be some that aren't perfect regardless of who is doing the fit out.

And this is why manufacturers continue to sell this kind of crap. people like you pair still think it's good value.  It isn't good value at all, it's bloody pathetic and customers should be demanding better quality not accepting ****.

But they probably got a good deal

Ignorance is bliss because the last 2 owners happily used that bench and sink for 10 years with no dramas and ditto the shelf until I stress tested it. What would a bloke do with a shed full of every tool you could imagine and nothing to gripe about or fix eh?
There's no Great Evil conspiracy against consumers within engineering, manufacturing and supply. Just the many tradeoffs incurred to satisfy diverse tastes, priorities and wallets. But first comes all the insatiable Gummint eggsperts, nanny-staters and usual suspects.

Ok so after the last two weeks I've changed my view on Jayco and the service from my local dealer.............watch this space. I will go into details in another thread once I've sorted everything out and we are on the road, but let me just say if you are in WA and buying a Jayco, buyer beware. Not happy Jan!
