Great weekend at Baffle Creek, with a number of firsts for us:

First time free camping with our solar setup, extra battery and water usage all working out very well…

First time for the boys in the Oztent Bunkers, which they smashed… gives us much more flexibility with out next camper setup…

First time for the boys in a boat and subsequently the first time they caught fish from a boat

And the Pajero reached a milestone on the way home…

Childers Nature Bush camp.
Toilets and showers (porta loo style stuff). Clean and tidy. No power and limited potable water. Plenty of non potable scattered around the property. This is a relatively new camp, so lots of development happening, and planned. $18 per night, per vehicle. :cup:

Did you go through Ban Ban or Kilkivan from Goomeri? Why I ask is that the last time we were up that way, there were plenty of slow/stop spots around Biggenden due to maintenance.

Sounds good, but looks like you'd need a jack hammer to get pegs in ??? :'(

Strangely, not the case. Pegs went in, stayed in, and came out relatively easily🙂

Biloela, QLD. Overnighter at the Queensland Heritage Park. Getting set up and this happened  -

To make matters worse, the step frame is bolted to the chassis frame component using nutserts/rivnuts and one of them is loose, so undoing the 20mm bolt took about 15min.

Middlemount, QLD, Golf club. It’s only a car park, but it’s free, and if you like looking at golf course scenery, well worth the stop. Will be dining at the club tonight, which is reputed to be a huge feed as well as good tucker ;D

Nebo, QLD. Lovely little town with a very cheap CP - $10 per site per night with power & water. It has an amenities block with showers and toilets, both of which are clean. Also has a dog who loves to chase a thrown ball. ;D

Yes we are, but, heading out through Lake Elphinstone, Mt Coolon (went through there last year to get to Burdikin Falls dam), on our way through Charters Towers and Townsville. From there, who knows? 8)

If you stop at the Mt.Coolon pub, make sure to have a read of the walls for a bit of local history.

Have a good trip.
