How do you fold your soft floor?

Hi all,

Just wondering, when folding up your soft floor CT, do you push the walls between the bows as you fold it? Or do you leave it all hang out and then flop it all on top after the bows are folded down?

I have spotted a few marks on my window mesh and wondered if it was caused by getting squashed between the bows?

For us it's just flop it over and try our best to tuck in any large bits that are hanging out. We don't worry about it too much because our cover is huge so it all goes under easy enough.

Same as you, push the walls between the bows, haven't noticed any crush marks.

Tuck it as neatly as possible. This is easiest furthest from the pivot point of course.

So it looks like everyone folds/stuffs between the bows with no problems?

Push it between the bows with a broom but pull the sides out and fold them over the top.

the mesh on my screen door got owned by the bows where the 3 of them mount to the baseboard. still trying to figure out how to replace the whole door mesh as the temp patch job looks like ****. I had a couple of covers made up to cover the 3 arms where they mount, it is actually standard in many brands of trailer.


I now drop the tent down and fold over the top.

We do fold push it in between the bows but our 2 mesh doors we roll up first and leave them rolled up all our windows have canvas on the inside so dont have the probelm with the windows.  We do have small hole in one of the mesh doors from leaving them down but not trouble since we started doing it the other way.  We have a lot to try fit in there as we have annex roof on and have left storm cover attached to this last couple of pack ups makes set up easier and cover still fits on.

We pull out as much wall as possible from the front and back of the trailer. This then gets folded over the top before cover.
With the side we push in as neatly as possible between the bows.

Pull it all out (let it all hang out?) to minimise the canvas between the bows.  This was recommended when we bought the trailer to reduce the risk of damage caused by rubbing by the bows.  Seems to work so far.

Fold? You can fold these things? We sort of crumple it in between the bows & then throw the rest over the top, climb on & crumple some more! Don't know about this "fold" business, must try it some day.

I pull out the sides then fold them over best i can. I cant still get the top on ok but it does appear to sit a bit higher.

Good point DMAX. I just realised we have canvas on the inside of the windows too so it's only the 2 doors I need to worry about.

I might try letting it all hang out next time (nothing between the bows) and then fold (shove/push/cram/stomp) the tent on top.

And if your door mesh can roll up really recommend that part ours are U shaped doors so can roll all the way up both sides.
