advice from Rockhampton locals
« on: April 28, 2013, 08:36:53 PM »
who here lives around Rocky?

I'm considering attending/displaying at the Hunt, Fish & 4WD show in July. It's organised and promoted by a company I have exhibited with for the past couple of years but being a 'new' location for this NSW-based company, I'm keen to know if any Rocky-ites attended the first Rocky Hunt, Fish & 4WD show last year.

It's a long way - and a big commitment - for me so I keen to know if it's worth the trek!

Hi Gee Tee last year was an awesome show. As a member of the local CQ Offroad club we had our own exhibit with static displays and demonstrations throughout the event. As my car and camper was on display all weekend as part of our display I chatted to lots and lots of people. General concensus was it was a great event something for everyone. As part of the club I attended the get together for exhibitors and the promotors were more than happy with the event and the crowd numbers. This year plans to be bigger and better. Our club will once again have demos etc with some campers on display and 4wds driving the test track which will be made specifically for the event. Not sure what you sell but if you fit the brief cant see how you can go wrong. Hope that has helped some cheers Paul

Sorry mate was tapping away on the iPhone and as most of us have our car and camper in our profile pic I never took a second look. Interesting designs you have there always good to see new and different innovations look forward to seeing you here if you decide to make the trip. Forgot to mention the family I sold my last camper to in Mackay actually came down for the event as well. With the vast distances up this way folks are often quite happy to travel for an event such as this.
