Unbeatable Hilux....
« on: April 23, 2013, 05:27:14 PM »
I wonder if it turns out like the ad when the Hilux rolls off the cliff and still turns up in pristine condition?
Don't know why, but the pic didn't load up.....

From the Gympie Times.

Topics:  cars, environment, mudlo rocks, rainbow beach, vehicles

Two utes swallowed in the drink at Mudlo Rocks.

This Toyota Hilux was caught at Mudlo Rocks on the weekend while trying to come to the aid of a trapped Holden Rodeo. RAINBOW Beach's notorious Mudlo Rocks and the ocean claimed two new victims over the weekend.

A Holden Rodeo ute and a near-new Toyota Hilux were the latest casualties of the incoming tide just south of the Rainbow Beach Surf Club.

Locals at Rainbow Beach said the driver of the Holden Rodeo became stuck on the rocks while heading toward Double Island Point on Saturday.

The driver of the Toyota Hilux then tried to come to the rescue of the Rodeo driver but once he stopped his vehicle it sank up to the wheel nuts in the wet sand and could not be moved.

A local said the driver of a third car was also asked for help.

He politely refused, fearing for his vehicle.

Eventually the tide came in covering both vehicles.

Beach drivers have been urged to check the conditions of the Mudlo Rocks daily before they try and negotiate the beach obstacle.

Presently the rocks are only passable at dead low tide and drivers are urged to do their homework before heading up the beach.

A good knowledge of tide times and beach conditions combined with some good recovery equipment can often be the difference between a vehicle going under water and making it back to Rainbow Beach.

I DON'T CARE HOW NICE THE HAND SOAP SMELLS.....

You should never walk out of the public toilets sniffing your fingers.

Keep an eye out in Melbourne for a barely used low K extremely clean Hilux - probably advertised as never been off road.
Manual petrol 105 series 'cruiser.
Aust. trailers semi off road trailer with Southern Cross Canvas tent, water, gas, kitchen and other stuff.

definitely dont make em like they used to.

You must remember the unbreakable red hilux on BBC Top Gear. That one was under water and still started.

Couldnt imagine this one being much good now............
Why do people ask "What the hell were you thinking?"
Obviously I was thinking I was going to get away with it and not have to explain it....
