bought a set when I purchased the van last year. they come in a separate bag and that is where they have stayed since. the standard jayco awning seems a bit heavy on its own when put up with the standard poles. I would say the awning walls would weigh 20/25 kgs, at the moment im not game to try as im thinking of upgrading to a different annexe and would hate to damage the annexe with all that extra weight.
love the aussie long weekend. sorry boss se you next week.

I bought a set with my hawk (would probably fit yours - hawk and eagle have same specs)

I found them really heavy and have never used them other than trying it out on day one. (should chuck them on evil bay I suppose)
I has a set of lightweight ones made by the brilliant people up your way at budget bedflys.
PM me and I'll send you the details, and they promised to look after all recommended customers.

Cant recommend them enough.

Cheers

Hi Danbo81

If its a standard jayco awning with jayco on the  bag probably best to go back to dealer If it is a kakadu awning they are on the sunny coast for memory when I bought mine they where much heavier and better quality than the jayco ones back then anyway.

But any upholsterer or canvas place would be able to measure them up and make them out of any sort of material you like canvas vinyl etc. just a thought  :cheers:ehsc

Allseasonsvinyl AKA Kakadu awnings are at Currumbin on the Gold Coast, and they sell thru various RV yards also. And yes, their walls and awning are heavy, but once up create a whole extra room. Despite thinking otherwise, wife & I put ours up every trip, even if its only for 2 nights. Kakadu used slide on hooks in 2011 on our model. Would prefer zips, but told the hook system lasts longer. Yet to prove or disprove that theory.

We bought ours at the same time as we bought the swan & Camperland recommended upgrading to the kakadu awnings & annexe so we did. Yeah they are heavy, we have only put part of ours up, like a back wall I think, but it was awesome how much rain it kept out so I imagine at some point we will use the whole thing :)

Hi, we got ours when we got the camper and use them all the time even if it's just one wall to block wind. I find them very good quality and once you have put them up the first time and work out what is what they are super quick the next time. It takes me about 10 to 15 minutes to put them on and it gives you so much more room. Hope this helps.
