Cliff Jumping in Broome

When the tides are high the kids head down the Gantheaume Point to jump off the rocks. It's amazing to think that when the tide is low you can then see the Dinosaur foot print from the same spot. I've added a treat as well. Nice the see the Cops getting bogged.

You can see in the middle one how they ride the waves in. Viv was having kittens when she first saw them (I'm cool cause I let them 8))

Here is the rocks with the tide low. Was early morning

Gantheaume Point

The sand was really soft today up Cable beach. As we've had really high tides the sand is boggy and at one stage with 12 psi I was in Low Second for a bit. You can see from the pic how soft it was. We were the first up there today so felt quite alone and NOT wanting to get bogged.

Yea, getting the nice time of year. Water is starting to cool down and does not resemble warm soup and the nights are getting to 23. The days are still warm, 35c or so but a lot drier than the humidity of the wet..

Should be a good year for Swaggers

Hey Steve,
We've arrived on the 20th and it was like a sauna, 30degC and over 90% humidity at 7pm! A lot better now though.

Is the beach still soft? Was thinking of going for a run up it on ANZAC day? BTW, do you know when dawn service starts here in Broome?

Sorry mate, just read this post. The beach is only soft for about an hours after the tides heads out. Hope you got to go for a drive though.

Steve, sorry I didn't get back to you before Sunday. Friends from Brisbane turn up in the Same Cp. can you believe it?

We're heading off tomorrow - decided to tackle the GRR back to Kununurra. We've had a great time here in Broome and will be back some time.
